4 Friends from West Africa (Nigeria) and East Africa (Kenya) decided to come together and brew some beer but we needed a name!

Arriving at a name was as interesting and argumentative as our friendship – you know we Africans always love a healthy boisterous conversation, so we said do we go Kenyan, Nigerian or some other and finally we agreed to go for something that was not either or but more of us all. Ngbaka is such for us. Ngbaka, pronounced “Mba-ka”, is a language that encompasses a family of mutually intelligible languages spoken in Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo by approximately 2 million people.

Ngbaka is a term that describes our common union, that out of many different regions we emerged from, we are united under one beer.
Ngbaka beer celebrates the diversity and unity of African people wherever they may live in world, finding communality in a brand that retains the familiar taste of home.
Ngbaka is more than a beer. It is the story of four African boys in Europe who discovered home is not just a place but a sense for the things that make us feel rooted and whole.
At its core, Ngbaka is a discovery. Not just another flavoured beer from Africa but a true discovery. The beer is inspired with ingredients from Africa and the authentic flavour is distinct. In every beer, we also add our spirit, joy and laughter to share with you because as they say in Africa, if you want to go far, you go together.
